Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

Our last few weeks in Reception have been extremely busy preparing for Christmas.  In our final week we have been able to enjoy Christmas celebrations.

The children have enjoyed designing and creating their Christmas party hats.  They were really excited to wear them for our school Christmas dinner of turkey with all the trimmings!

We watched a pantomime production of ‘The Wind in the Willows.’  The children really enjoyed it and there were lots of laughs along the way.

We hope you have a fantastic Christmas holiday and look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Merry Christmas

We had fun decorating our class Christmas tree!

We are very lucky to have our own ‘Santa’s Grotto’ Role-Play area in our class. The children can be Elves and can write letters to Father Christmas!Image result for father christmas

We love our new ‘Arctic Animals’ Small World area. The children can play with the different animals and the cold snow.

Reception A’s visit to Cheshunt Library!

Today we went on a school visit to the library. We had stories read to us by the librarian and we had the opportunity to read different books. Some of us were very lucky and got to take out our own story books using our new library cards!

Happy Halloween!

Welcome back to our new school term!

Today we are enjoying playing with pumpkin gloop in our messy tray.

Child E: “It feels so slimy.”

Child N: ” We take all of the seeds out and we make a face in the pumpkin. I made an Elsa face.”

Child G: ” I am going trick or treating tonight.”

Child T: ” I like to dress up at Halloween.”
