Wishing you all an enjoyable Easter break. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 15th April.

At Downfield we place utmost importance on keeping all members of our community safe. As part of this commitment, esafety is firmly rooted in our curriculum and features in both the Computing and PSHCE programmes of work.

Resources and materials made available to us here at school, are shared on this page and are aimed at supporting families in our goal to keep children safe online.

As with all technology, the online world our children move around in, is constantly changing and evolving. In many ways this is positive and exciting with new resources and materials appearing every day. However, the rapidly changing nature of the online environment, makes it difficult for us to be aware of every new resource: good or bad. We therefore welcome any information you as families have on what's new and what children are accessing. We hope to work together to continue to protect children from the dangerous aspects of online activity.

We hope you find the materials below useful. Please let us know if there are other resources out there which could be shared with the school community.

National Online Safety

The National Online Safety organisation provide a wealth of resources for parents, children and teachers. Parent help sheets are constantly updated to provide support to parents on the latest apps, games and resources attracting children and young people today. A full file list of help sheets can be found below the images. Click on these images to access help sheets for Fifa 20, Omegle and Tiktok.
